My story:)

Hello, I am Quiara, and currently 15 years old. I live in Walla Walla Washington and planning to be a Exchange Student in Italy for a full year next year, which will be my junior year of high school! I want to go abroad with AFS which is a non-profit organization involving exchange students, either going to a country or having another student from a different country come and live with you. I want to be a Exchange student because I think it will be a wonderful, and adventurous experience of a life time, to live in a whole other country for a year. If I am able to go to Italy I hope I will gain more, strong aspects of life, and experiencing new culture which I think is the most fascinating. If I experience living in Italy for a full year, I believe I can inspire others to do something they thought they could never do, like living in a foreign country without your family or friends, and if they see another person doing something wonderful like this they could do it to. However this is why I am writing the blog, for I need financial help in achieving this goal which is not only personal but my ideal goal in life to travel the world and this is a great start! Sadly times are very hard right now and I’m struggling to find the difference that my scholarship did not pay for, and my scholarship hardly covers a third of the tuition, but it’s a start and I am very thankful for that! I am planning to get a job as soon as I turn 16, to help chip-in for my tuition, and try doing many other things around the community to raise money. I really hope I can achieve this goal of mine, and willing to do anything to achieve it. Thanks for all your help I can’t thank you all enough! -Quiara Avalos

    That is so exciting. I will definitely be updating my blog while I am there. So stay reading that and I can answere majority of your questions. I have many of my friends and family asking all kinds of questions too, so I will go into a lot of detail. I can't believe its only like a month away. You will love it!
